I am 20 years old and only began painting botanical watercolours approximately 2 years ago. I have'nt had any training with watercolour painting or botanical art, however I discovered I could paint plants in my final year of high school. I personally enjoy painting plants that are very detailed and unique.
My mother owns a nursery, so I grew up learning about different types of plants, which I think has heavily influenced my interest in botanical art. My aim with my art this year is to compile a collection of samples of my skills and personal style. I also enjoy creating found metal object sculptures predominately of different insects. I find the precise botanical paintings and the rough metal sculptures both compliment each other.
